The sourcing organization must be prepared to listen, answer, support with facts and disarm unfounded objections at the time of the first strategic discussions, during scoping, at the point of decision, after the decision to change is made through transition to business as usual. The workshop is designed under the premise that opposition can materialize at any time, in order to:

  • Develop a communications approach with respect for opinion and input
  • Maps and group objections by business line, function, position and point of view
  • Assemble a fact base which responds to core opposition themes and isolate perceived objections
  • Design a series of interventions—focus groups, individual influencer sessions (“the woodshed approach”) and peer pressur
  • Modify implementation or stage deployment to quell justifiable concerns
  • Adjust change management response models and messaging
