Articulating clear and consistent reasons for change—in language that appeals to ‘what’s in it for me’– is a cornerstone of successful sourcing change. Couched in the terms of a vision, all messages must not only keep stakeholders informed as to progress, but also demand support and participation. Effective communications combine a consistent top down approach from the sponsoring executive(s) with continual reinforcement from direct managers.
